| Obverse description | Multicolour note with an oval vignette at left centre containing a uniformed portrait of Simón Bolívar facing three-quarters right, set within an elaborate guilloche border. The upper centre carries the bank title BANCO DE VENEZUELA / SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA in bold letterpress, with CARACAS and the capital figure above, while the large numeral 500 appears within an ornate floral lathe-work medallion to the right.
