Obverse description The central vignette presents the Dûkan Dam spanning the Lesser Zab river, rendered in multicolour intaglio against a pastel guilloche underprint. The denomination is repeated in all four corners in both Arabic and Western numerals, while two tactile recognition circles at the left end serve as aids for visually impaired users. Arabic legends identifying the issuing authority and the denomination in full appear across the face of the note.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a large vignette of the Lamassu — the winged Assyrian bull deity with a human head, known as Al-Thawr Al-Mugannah — set against an architectural backdrop referencing the Palace Complex of Sargon II at Khorsabad. The denomination appears in the upper right and lower left corners in both Arabic and Western numerals. Bilingual inscriptions in Arabic and English identifying the Central Bank of Iraq run along the upper and lower registers.
