| Obverse description | An intaglio vignette at right portrays a seated male figure tending a smelting furnace with an open flame, with tools and a large vessel visible before him, rendered in fine line engraving against a multicolour guilloche underprint. To the left, an ornate scalloped cartouche framed in red serves as the serial number panel, set within an intricate lace-pattern guilloche field in blue and ochre. The date ELISABETHVILLE / 17 AVRIL 1962 and the directive POUR LE COMITE DE DIRECTION appear at centre, accompanied by two manuscript signatures. |
