Hasbro's Crooked Cash Edition, released in 2021, is a variant of standard Monopoly play money designed to introduce deliberate deception mechanics into the game — some notes in the pack are intentionally fake, meant to be passed off by players as genuine currency within the rules of play. The 500 denomination is the highest in the set and therefore the most strategically significant forgery target.
Not a collectible banknote by any meaningful numismatic standard, but occasionally catalogued by game ephemera collectors.
