The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic has never controlled a functioning economy, a mint, or a postal system — its government operates in exile from Tindouf, Algeria, and has done so since Morocco annexed the former Spanish Sahara in 1976. Coins issued in its name are produced entirely for the collector market, with no possibility of circulation in any territory it claims.
The Spitfire Mk II entered RAF service in 1940, powered by the Merlin XII engine. Its connection to a Western Saharan independence movement is purely commercial.
