Reverse description The crowned and mantled achievement of the Royal Arms of the House of Hanover occupies the central field, the quartered shield displaying the arms of England, Scotland, and Ireland with the Hanoverian escutcheon en surtout. The shield is encircled by the collar of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, and the whole is ensigned by a royal crown above a crowned and ermine-lined robe. The surrounding Latin legend commemorates King William IV: INSIGNIA GULIELMI IV BRITANNIAE REGIS.
