Obverse description The colourised national coat of arms of Tajikistan is depicted in the centre of the field, featuring a stylised rising sun over mountains, an open book, a crown, seven stars, and flanking sprigs of cotton and wheat ears, all rendered in full colour. A raised circular border ring separates the central field from the outer legend area. The Tajik legend ҶУМҲУРИИ ТОҶИКИСТОН arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic script, while REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN arcs along the lower periphery in Latin script. The fineness mark AG 925 and the weight 31,1 appear incuse on the border ring to the left and right respectively. Reverse description A finely modelled high-relief bust portrait of the Persian poet and scholar Abdurahman Jami faces slightly to the left, wearing a traditional turban and robes with a short beard, occupying the central field. A raised circular border ring frames the portrait. The Cyrillic legend АБДУРАХМОНИ ҶОМӢ arcs along the left periphery, while the Latin legend ABDURAHMAN JAMI arcs along the right periphery. The birth year 1414 appears to the lower left and the death year 1492 to the lower right of the portrait on the border ring. At the bottom of the field, within an ornate cartouche, the numeral 600 commemorates the 600th anniversary of the poet's birth.
