Taiwan's 2021 stimulus vouchers were issued under the "Quintuple Stimulus Vouchers" program — the fifth such consumer-spending scheme since 2009, each iteration prompted by a different economic shock. This round was a direct response to pandemic-era GDP contraction and was distributed at a cost of NT$2,500 per person, with NT$1,000 returned to the purchaser upon redemption — effectively a NT$1,000 government subsidy embedded in the transaction.

Unlike previous rounds issued solely as paper vouchers, the 2021 scheme also offered a digital version for the first time, making paper uptake a minor political flashpoint when adoption of the digital option proved lower than the administration had projected.
