Rwanda's 2024 series marks a relatively rare instance of the country retaining De La Rue for a new issue at a moment when several African central banks have been shifting toward alternative security printers — notably Poland's PWPW or Canada's BA International. The National Bank of Rwanda has maintained a long relationship with TDLR, and this 5000 Franc note continues that pattern.
P#45 is a recent addition to the catalog; secondary market data on print runs and variety differences is still thin.
