| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a large vignette of an African fish eagle perched on a branch at right, set against a light multicolour guilloche underprint in shades of violet, gold, and green. At lower left, the Zambian coat of arms appears within a circular seal dated 1992, accompanied by a small dove vignette. The denomination K5000 is printed in large numerals at upper left and lower centre, with the Bank of Zambia title across the top and a Governor's signature below the central promise-to-pay inscription. |
