The 1975 series marked an early phase of Perum Peruri's consolidation as Indonesia's sole state printing works — the enterprise had been reorganized and relocated to Karawang in West Java in the early 1970s specifically to bring banknote and security document production fully under domestic control. Prior to this, Indonesian notes had routinely been produced abroad, often by Joh. Enschedé in the Netherlands.
Watermark security on this issue is relatively basic by later Indonesian standards. The paper itself is prone to foxing at the margins in humid storage conditions — a known preservation problem across the entire Peruri-printed series from this decade.
