| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a domed straw beehive (skep) in the centre of the field, rendered in fine relief with horizontal banding detail. Surrounding the hive is a decorative swarm of bees in flight, distributed across the inner field. The legend 'ACADEMIA OPEROSORUM LABACENSIUM' curves along the upper and lateral periphery in raised Latin lettering, commemorating the learned academy founded in Ljubljana. At the base of the design, the dual dates '1693' and '1993' flanking a small bee motif mark the tercentenary of the academy's founding. The overall composition is a refined allegorical reference to the academy's motto of industry and collaborative scholarship, symbolised by the beehive. |
