Reverse description The Ensigns Armorial of the Commonwealth of Australia, as authorised by Royal Warrant of 7th May 1908, occupy the central field. The shield displays the Cross of Saint George charged with five six-pointed stars, with six small escutcheons representing the Australian states arrayed around its border. The shield is supported by a kangaroo and an emu standing upon a grassy mound, with the seven-pointed Federation star as a crest above on a wreath. A scroll below bears the national motto ADVANCE AUSTRALIA, while the denomination SIXPENCE arcs above the arms and the date 1910 appears below between arrowheads.
