| Obverse description | Left-facing draped and crowned effigy of King George V, wearing the Imperial State Crown and military uniform with chain and decorations visible at the truncation. The portrait, engraved by Percy Metcalfe, is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the beard and regalia. The legend GEORGE V KING EMPEROR curves around the periphery in raised Latin capitals, divided by the portrait. A beaded inner border runs along the rim. |
