Obverse description The third-portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl drop earring with a pearl necklace, faces right within a rope border framing the triangular field. The legend '60 DOLLARS' appears along the left edge and 'ELIZABETH II' along the right edge, with the date '1998' inscribed at the base. The engraver's initials 'RDM' appear at the truncation of the neck, attributing the portrait to Raphael David Maklouf.

Reverse description At centre, a detailed rendering of the early 17th-century pinnace Deliverance under full sail is depicted at sea against a cartographic grid background. To the left, a raised relief map of the Bermuda archipelago fills the field, inscribed with the name 'BERMUDA' within the map. The entire design is framed by a twisted rope border following the Reuleaux triangle perimeter. The engraver's initials 'JRW' appear in the lower field near the waterline, and the legend 'BERMUDA' is inscribed prominently along the bottom edge.
