| Reverse description | Central field bears the mint name and regnal year in Arabic script, arranged within a beaded inner circle mirroring the obverse border treatment. A continuous floral and foliate ornamental border surrounds the beaded circle, consistent with the decorative programme of the obverse. The inscription records the mint of Tripoli West (طرابلس غرب) and the AH date 1223 with regnal year 20, corresponding to 1827 CE. The layout and calligraphic style are typical of Ottoman provincial hammered issues struck under Mahmud II. |
