| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized colored cross of the Order of Avis rendered in deep red enamel, composed of four fleurs-de-lis joined at the center, with a tau cross at its heart. In the upper left field, a scallop shell symbol evocative of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route appears in relief, while the Portuguese royal arms shield is depicted in the upper right field.
