Additional information

The original 7 Mace 2 Candareens denomination was China's attempt in the 1890s to standardize a silver dollar-equivalent for international trade, produced at provincial mints under Guangxu as Qing fiscal authority was fracturing under foreign debt and treaty obligations. This piece is a modern replica — the copper-nickel plated steel construction makes that unambiguous — and carries no numismatic value attributable to the Guangxu period itself.
