| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of King Carlos IV facing right, depicted with powdered wig tied at the nape, elaborate ruffled cravat, and ornate military dress with decorative epaulettes and embossed breastplate. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail throughout the portrait. The circular Latin legend encircles the bust, reading from the lower left around the upper field. The date appears in the exergue at the bottom of the coin, below the bust truncation, flanked by small ornamental stops. |
