Reverse description Central heraldic composition depicting a crenellated castle or fortress to the left, a sailing ship on open water in the center, and an erupting volcano to the right, all set against a hatched sea ground. The entire device is enclosed within a wreath of laurel and olive branches tied at the base with a small cluster of fruit. The upper legend FIRME POR LA UNION arcs around the periphery, while the lower legend FEDERACION flanks the wreath base. Denomination, fineness, assayer, and mint marks 8E.21.Q and B.A. appear to the left and right of the wreath. A small cross appears at the top center above the wreath. A beaded border frames the entire design.
