Obverse description Central field displays the Honduran provisional coat of arms within a raised beaded inner circle: a pyramid surmounted by a radiating sun above two flanking castle towers, all set above waves, rendered in fine engraving. The outer field is embellished on either side with decorative fruiting vine branches, and at the top a crossed-cannon trophy element with a drum motif is visible above the inner circle. The circular legend MONEDA PROVISIONAL DEL ESTADO DE HONDURAS runs around the periphery between the inner beaded border and the outer milled rim, with a small floral ornament serving as a stop. The overall design is executed in high relief with crisp, medallic quality detail consistent with a pattern strike.
