| Obverse description | A humped bull (Nandi) depicted in profile within the field, rendered in the schematic Licchavi style typical of early medieval Nepal. The sacred bull faces right, its characteristic hump clearly articulated in low relief. The Brahmi legend VRSHA (meaning 'bull') appears in the field accompanying the device. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat flat, consistent with hammered copper coinage of this period. |
