Obverse description Central field bearing the royal titulature of Sultan Mehmed III in Arabic script, arranged in two registers within a dotted inner border. The legend reads 'al-Sultan Mehmed bin Murad Khan', identifying the ruler by name and patronymic in the traditional Ottoman hammered coinage style. The script is rendered in a compressed, stylized calligraphic hand characteristic of late 16th-century Ottoman akçe production. A row of raised pellets forms the border along the lower periphery of the flan.
