| Obverse description | High-relief cast scene depicting a robed figure of Saint Ignatius of Loyola at centre, gesturing toward the Virgin Mary appearing in glory at upper right, surrounded by four children in various attitudes of reverence and wonder. The facade of the Colegio de Belén building is rendered in low relief in the background. The medal has an arched, irregular shape with a suspension loop at the top flanked by laurel sprays.
