| Obverse description | Zebu bull standing to right within a circular border, depicted in profile with characteristic humped back. The surrounding field carries a Greek legend reading BAΣIΛEΩΣ BAΣIΛEΩN MEΓAΛOY AZOY (of the Great King of Kings, Azes), distributed around the periphery of the flan. The die work is characteristic of late Indo-Scythian hammered bronze coinage, with the design rendered in low relief on an irregularly shaped flan. Surface encrustation partially obscures the legend but the bull type remains identifiable. |
