Obverse description Central field occupied by a large Jerusalem cross of distinctive form, its four arms each terminating in a crosslet, rendered with hatched shading along the limbs to suggest three-dimensionality; a small pellet appears at the centre of the cross. The field between the arms is plain. A mint mark appears at the base of the cross below the lower arm. The entire device is enclosed within a plain inner circle, with the royal legend disposed in the surrounding annular band between the inner circle and a beaded outer border.
