| Obverse description | Facing bust of Count Albert II rendered in crude, high-relief hammered style characteristic of 11th-century Mosan coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with broad facial features schematically delineated. Partial legend ALBERTVS runs around the periphery, though much of the inscription is weak or off-flan due to the irregular planchet. The overall style reflects the primitive die-cutting conventions of the County of Namur during this period. |
