| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a bold Latin cross with globules distributed in each quadrant, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The cross arms are rendered in a simple, archaic style characteristic of early Bohemian coinage. The surrounding area between the beaded circle and the irregular hammered edge bears the partial ducal legend. The overall design reflects the Ottonian artistic influence prevalent in Central European deniers of the mid-tenth century. |
