| Obverse description | Central field depicts an ornate cross or foliate design composed of interlocking curved and angular elements, surrounded by multiple pellets distributed across the field in a decorative arrangement. The design exhibits the characteristic Romanesque artistic style of 12th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage. The entire motif is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself bordered by a second outer beaded ring that follows the irregular flan edge. The relief is bold and slightly crude, consistent with hammered production of the period. No legible inscription is present on this face. |
