Obverse description Central field dominated by a prominent four-petalled rosette enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with each petal formed by curved, interlocking lunate elements meeting at a raised central boss. A plain outer border frames the design, with the annular field between the beaded circle and the border populated by small crescent-shaped and cross ornaments irregularly distributed around the periphery. The flan is of characteristic irregular hammered form, exhibiting the broad, thin fabric typical of Styrian bracteate-influenced pfennigs of the late 12th century.
