| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet adorned with a forepart of a griffin or animal protome on the crest. The portrait is rendered in the Hellenistic style with fine facial features visible in right profile. The flan is irregularly shaped and the fields are plain and unlettered. The overall engraving reflects the provincial civic bronze coinage tradition of Phrygia during the late Hellenistic period. |
