Reverse description Printed in brown on cream paper, the reverse centres on a large landscape vignette of the Great Mosque of Samarra with its distinctive spiral minaret (the Malwiya), set within a detailed architectural surround. The English inscription 'Central Bank of Iraq' runs across the top of the note, while denomination fractions '½' appear in the upper corners and the legend 'DINAR' is placed vertically at lower left. Ornamental guilloche panels occupy the left and right margins.
