| Obverse description | Central device consisting of a cross inscribed within a circle, rendered in crude raised relief characteristic of early medieval hammered coinage. The cross-in-circle motif occupies the majority of the flan, surrounded by a partial Latin legend distributed around the periphery. The lettering, reading BLADIMIRVC, is irregularly spaced and partially off-flan due to the imprecise striking technique. The overall style reflects Byzantine numismatic influence adapted to a local Slavic context. |
