| Obverse description | Emperor Stefan Uroš V depicted in full regalia on horseback, riding across the field with a cross-tipped sceptre held upright in his right hand. The crowned ruler wears imperial robes and is shown in profile. The initials R and V appear to either side of the equestrian figure within a beaded inner circle. The die work is characteristic of medieval Serbian hammered coinage, with a bold, stylised rendering of horse and rider. |
