Obverse description Five-line Arabic legend occupying the central field, citing both the Chagataid ruler Tarmashirin and the co-regent Sanjar with their respective titles and honorifics. The inscription is arranged horizontally across the flan and enclosed within concentric solid and beaded circular borders, a decorative framing device characteristic of Ilkhanid and Chagataid hammered silver coinage of the early 14th century.
