| Obverse description | Six-line inscription in medieval Serbian Cyrillic script filling the entire field, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The legend records the royal titulature and name of King Vukašin Mrnjavčević in the vernacular Serbian language of the period. The lettering is boldly struck in relief, characteristic of 14th-century Serbian hammered coinage, with a beaded border visible along the coin's periphery. | Reverse description | Christ Pantokrator enthroned in full frontal view, nimbed and wearing imperial Byzantine robes, seated upon an ornate throne flanked by tall vertical elements adorned with rows of pellets or beads. Christ holds the Book of Gospels in his left hand, its cover decorated with four prominent gem settings, while his right hand is raised in a gesture of benediction. The Christogram IC XC appears in the fields to either side of the nimbus. A beaded border frames the composition, consistent with the Byzantine-influenced artistic style prevalent in medieval Serbian coinage. |
