| Obverse script | Arabic (Kufic) |
| Obverse lettering | محمد رسول الله ارسله بالهدی و دین الحق لیظهره علی الدین کله لا اله الا الله وحده لا شریک له |
| Reverse description | The reverse is fully epigraphic in Kufic script, with no figurative design elements. The central field presents Qur'an 112:1–3 (Surat al-Ikhlas) in four horizontal lines, affirming the absolute oneness of God. A marginal legend runs anticlockwise from the 12 o'clock position, recording the mint formula and the Hijri year of issue. The legends are crisply rendered in the angular early Kufic style characteristic of Umayyad gold dinars, consistent with the standard reformed type established after AH 77. |
