| Obverse description | Frontal draped bust with long hair, the effigy turned slightly to the left, flanked by two small angelic figures above the shoulders. Arabic legends are arranged vertically in the left and right fields, providing the AH date attribution. The figurative style reflects the strong Hellenistic and Byzantine artistic influence prevalent in Artuqid and Zengid coinage of the 12th century. |
