| Obverse description | Draped and veiled bust of Artemis Kindyas facing right, the veil rendered with fine parallel ridges falling behind the neck, set within a beaded border. The facial features are rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with a delicate profile, slightly parted lips, and a prominent nose. The veil and drapery are characteristic of the cult image of Artemis Kindyas as worshipped at Bargylia in Caria. |

A torch appears in the lower field beneath the stag. The entire design is enclosed within a laurel wreath, with the ethnic legend ΒΑΡΓΥ ΛΙΩΝ divided across the field to right and left of the wreath, identifying the issuing city of Bargylia. |
