Obverse description A nude male figure kneels in the right field, working with a chisel on a large relief profile bust of a female head — an allegorical representation of Uruguay — set against a stylized sunburst background. The legend URUGUAY arcs along the left border, and the engraver's signature E. PRATI appears in small relief in the lower exergue.

In the central field, the inscription DVODECIMO / SALON ANVAL / DE ARTES PLASTICAS appears above a rectangular cartouche containing the recipient's name N. OUNANIAN, with the year 1948 below and the maker's signature TAMMARO in small relief at the lower right.
