| Obverse description | Bare-headed, bearded bust of Durran Durrandon in right profile occupying the upper central field, rendered in a bold, archaic style reminiscent of ancient Greek coinage. The hair is rendered in thick, curling locks and the short beard is deeply engraved. The bust is unadorned and truncated at the shoulder. The legend DURRAN arcs along the lower portion of the field in large, serif capital letters. The design field is enclosed by a raised rope-style inner border. |
