| Obverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in naskh script, reading 'Struck in the well-protected port,' arranged within a lobed or cartouche-like border. The inscription is crudely executed in the hammered style typical of provincial Ottoman copper coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with weak areas of strike visible toward the periphery. No pictorial or figural devices are present; the design is entirely epigraphic. |
