| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a lion passant in high relief, depicted in the traditional Safavid heraldic style with the body facing right. The lion is rendered in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of Safavid copper coinage. Above the lion, a curvilinear foliate or arabesque motif arches across the upper field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border running along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, as typical of hammered copper issues of this period. |
