| Obverse description | Helmeted bust of Roma facing left, wearing a crested Corinthian-style helmet with cheek guards, the neck and shoulder draped. The legend VARVS appears along the left field and ROMA along the right field, both in large Latin capitals distributed around the periphery. The flan is irregular with a small chip at the upper rim, and the surface retains a dark patina with areas of raised bronze highlighting the relief. |
