Obverse description Draped bust of Artemis facing right, her hair elaborately bound and adorned with a stephane or diadem, with a quiver visible behind her shoulder. The effigy is rendered in a refined Hellenistic style characteristic of Carian civic coinage of the second century BC. A dotted border surrounds the design, framing the bust within the irregular flan.

Reverse description A stag standing right, its antlered head raised, with a small kneeling figure — likely a worshipper or cult attendant — positioned beneath the animal in the lower field, reaching upward toward a tall cult idol or baetyl at right. The ethnic legend ΒΑΡΓΥ is inscribed vertically along the left field and ΛΙΗΤΩΝ along the right, identifying the issuing civic community of Bargylia. A dotted border frames the entire composition.
