Euro Souvenir notes are a privately issued series sold at tourist sites across Europe — legal novelties, not currency. This example marks the Hrebienok funicular station in the High Tatras, the upper terminus of a rack railway that has operated since 1908 and sits at roughly 1285 metres above sea level. Oberthur Fiduciaire's involvement is notable given the firm's long history producing actual circulating currency for sovereign states; here the same security infrastructure, including the hologram, is applied to what is essentially a collectible receipt.
