Obverse description A Rajput-style horseman depicted in profile facing left, seated upon a walking horse rendered in the traditional Indo-Muslim decorative manner. The rider's figure is rendered in a schematic, stylised fashion characteristic of the Ghaznavid-influenced jital coinage adopted by the Khwarazmian rulers. The name of the sultan's father, Tekish, appears in the field below the horse, serving as a dynastic attribution. The overall composition occupies the majority of the flan, with legends disposed around and beneath the equestrian motif.

Obverse lettering محمد بن سلطان تکش
Reverse description The reverse field displays a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged horizontally across the flan within a plain linear border, typical of the billon jital coinage of the Khwarazmian period. The legends, struck in a somewhat degenerate Naskh script, carry the ruler's titles and religious formulae in accordance with the Islamic numismatic tradition of the era. The strike is characteristically off-centre and uneven due to the hammered technique employed, resulting in partial legend legibility at the margins. The overall style reflects the transitional nature of this coinage, blending Rajput iconographic conventions with Islamic epigraphic content.
