| Obverse description | Central field displays a relief icon of Saints Sergius and Bacchus depicted as mounted soldiers carrying standards, rendered in the style of a traditional Eastern icon. The design is encircled by a Kufic Arabic frieze and an inner band bearing a Syriac legend in Estrangela script (Psalm 116:15). The dates 297 and 1997 appear in the lower exergue flanked by crosses. |
