Obverse description The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Transkei in low relief at centre, featuring a shield with chevron design incorporating crossed spears, a cogwheel, and a bull's head, flanked by two leopard supporters rearing on either side. The crest above the shield consists of antlers surmounted by a wicker basket. A scroll at the base bears the legend IMBUMBA YAMANYAMA.
