Obverse description Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed imperial bust facing right, rendered in a crude, late antique style characteristic of Vandal coinage struck at Carthage. The effigy is boldly conceived though irregularly executed, with visible drapery folds at the shoulder and a pearl diadem along the brow. The flat, worn fields surrounding the bust bear no legend or inscription.

Reverse description A stylized palm tree occupies the central field, depicted with a cluster of fruits rendered as small pellets arranged symmetrically on either side of the trunk — either two or three fruits per side depending on the emission. The palm, a traditional symbol of Carthage and North Africa, is executed in a simplified, schematic manner with frond-like branches extending from the crown. No legend or inscription appears in the field or exergue.
